Who we are

GTS (Guess Those Songs) is a YouTube channel started originally in 2016, however didn’t begin producing content until early 2023. We exclusively run a competition where users must guess the three songs along with their artist from a short snippet played for them. Four videos are produced each week on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday. The first three provide the song snippets for the competition (snippets can be 0.1s to 5s long for each song) and the fourth being a results video also announcing any winners.
This website was created as a means for our channel to properly collect and receive entries for our competitions. The website was fully created before the competitions began to ensure smooth operation for everyone. 

Media

If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Members on the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.
Images provided by you directly to us may be used in future videos and/or posts on this website.

Cookies

If you visit our login page, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.

When you log in, we will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. If you select “Remember Me”, your login will persist for up to 6 months. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed.

Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.

Who we share your data with

No personal data from our users is intentionally shared to anyone outside of GTS.

How long we retain your data

For users that register on our website, we store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username or date of birth). Website administrators can also see and edit that information. This information is stored for as long as the user is a member of the website.
Information regarding entries are stored for three months on our servers before being automatically deleted. Only winner information is kept indefinitely.

What rights you have over your data

If you have an account on this site, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes. To erase personal data that we require users to have, your account must be permanently deleted to comply.

Where your data is sent

Personal information as well as competition entries are securely stored within our database.
